4:30pm - Raising the flags of Provinces participating in the 83rd International Sella River Descent on the Paseo Princesa Leticia of Ribadesella.
THURSDAY, 1st AUGUST
09:00am - Time trial of the Leading Competitors - starting at the San Román (Llovio) bridge and finishing at the Ribadesella bridge.
11:30 am - Meeting at the Hogar del Pensionista of Ribadesella (Plaza de Abastos).
4:00 pm - A public draw of the starting order of the 83rd International Sella River Descent at the Casa de Cultura of Ribadesella.
FRIDAY, 2nd AUGUST
09:00am - 2:00pm and 4:00pm - 9:00pm - Collection of numbers and accreditations for the participating teams from the Javier Hernanz Municipal Sports Centre (Arriondas).
7:00pm - Presentation of the Valores del Sella Award - CocaCola, at Arriondas Town Hall, from the balcony of the Ilmo. Opening ceremony of the 83rd International Sella River Descent at the Parres Town Hall - Fiesta of the Piraguas of Asturias dedicated to the Club Sirio of Cangas de Onís.
Next, an espicha (a local festive buffet) will be held in the auditorium of the Parres Town Hall for authorities, canoeists and organisers of the Descent.
SATURDAY, 3rd AUGUST
07:12am - Departure of the train accompanying the race from Gijón train station.
07:30am - Departure of the train accompanying the race from Renfe de Oviedo station.
09:30am - Departure of the train accompanying the race from Ribadesella station.
09:30am - Reception of officials from the Parres Town Council.
10:30am - Start of the traditional parade of kings of Neptune, bagpipes bands, folk groups, charangas (musical instrument), etc. led by the Asturian Kings Aurelio, Pelayo, Ordoño and Mauregato through the streets of Arriondas, and followed by the officials and honorary members of the Sella River Descent.
11:50am - The crowd will sing the Asturian Anthem.
12:00pm - Start of the 83rd International Sella River Descent.
12:15pm - Departure of the train from Arriondas station following the race to Ribadesella.
1:05pm - The first canoes arrive in Ribadesella. Fifteen minutes after the arrival of the first canoe to the finish line, medals will be awarded to the first three male and female canoes classified in K2 and K1, and the first three canoes in the C2 and C1 male categories. The canoe arrival control closes 30 minutes after the finish of the winners from each category.
2:00pm - 7:30pm - Free shuttle bus service between Ribadesella and the Campos de Oba. The bus leaves from the Ribadesella bus station and the La Ribera car park in Llovio. The last bus leaves from the Campos de Oba to Ribadesella at 7:00 pm and to Arriondas at 7:30pm.
2:30 pm - Departure of the train accompanying the race from Ribadesella to Llovio station to arrive at 2:37pm and the start of the meal for all participants at the Campos de Oba in Llovio.
5:00pm - Medal presentation for the first three canoes in the different categories and types of canoe at the Campos de Oba in Llovio.
5:40pm - Departure of the train accompanying the race from Llovio station to Oviedo station to arrive at 7:52pm.
